I also forgot that I do not need a seat post clamp as well on the English frame so there is another 14g down. It adds up quickly that I should be able to do a Sub 6000g fairly easily.

So here are the weights at this time and the differences between the SLC that is sub 5900.

SLC 1170g
Forks 342g
SP Clamp 15g
Seat post 145g
Total = 1672g

English 1302g
EDGE forks 350g uncut.
Seat Post 96g
Total = 1748

Weight difference of only 76g which means that I could potentially get this build to under 5900g with a carbon saddle as well. It is very tempting to see if I can get this build to sub 13 lbs. It might be the best option and then keep the SLC a bit heavier with a more aero set up.

That makes more sense. If you are going to have 2 bikes, it just seems better for each to have a distinct purpose.

Also keep in mind that the gap gets more narrow when you factor in less than half of the housing needed.

And an uncut fork... not a whole late of savings there, but savings nonetheless.

30-40g as mentioned is easy to get. The 3T fork was 33g difference between cut and uncut.

Well half of my grandparents came from England to Canada and the other half came from Ireland and Canada (great grandparent were Welsh) so you know I had to go English. HA HA.

You will be happy as I will try to get as much English carbon as possible.

Well at least you are smart enough to have a Canadian woman and a Canadian bike. And to top it all off her family is close to me so there is a chance we will meet at least once in our lifetime and you might even be able to take the English lady for a spin. She will be the only lady in my life for a very long time.
