The latest iteration of Extralite's expander plug for threadless headsets is about as light they come. The Ultrastar 2 uses a simple and incredibly secure dual wedge design with a range of adjustments to fit most modern steerer tubes. Extralite's attention to detail is clearly evident, with five masterfully machined individual pieces. A hard anodized coating on the upper and lower wedges helps prevent corrosion.

The Ultrastar 2 is 100% designed and manufactured in Italy.

Ordering
Please accurately measure the inner diameter of your fork's steerer tube before ordering to ensure compatibility.

Installation
First, use a file or deburring tool to clean the upper inner edge of the steerer tube. Next, using an 8 mm hex wrench, adjust the ultrastar so that it will slip into the steerer tube with mild hand pressure. Insert it to a depth of 5-10 mm, and use a torque wrench to tighten the wedge to 15 Nm. The Ultrastar is compatible with standard M6 top cap preload bolts.
