Detail
The Ultraclamp, like every other Extralite product, is designed with a fanatical attention to detail, and engineered to be the best possible component at the lightest possible weight. While relatively commonplace in appearance, the Ultraclamp's superiority is revealed in the details. The lower edges of the clamp are rounded on the inside to ease installation and prevent seat tube scratches. Similarly, the upper edges of the inner clamping surface are relieved to take pressure off the delicate upper edge of carbon seat tubes. The taper-head titanium clamp bolt sits within a machined slot, and the remaining outer portion of the clamp is beautifully finished: polished and anodized in a variety of colors.
