Our new hand built wheel set is meant as the ultimate all around race wheel set. The medium depth (60mm / 70mm) ENVE Smart 6.7 rims will be at home on a crit course or in the medium mountains and should be on any Rouleur's bike. Matched to Tune's second generation Mig 70 and Mag 170 hubs the wheel set comes in at an impressive 1380 grams while maintaining durability and serviceability. Sapim's CX-Ray spokes offer a light weight yet very strong spoke option to round out our wheels. Don't let the scant 4.5g spoke fool you the CX Ray's tested tensile strength is nearly 50% better than a standard straight gauge spoke, with a fatigue life three times as long!
Smart ENVE System 6.7 Rims
ENVE Composites in a partnership with Simon Smart have built a very unique line of wheels that started in 2011 with the release of the tubular Smart 6.7s and Smart 3.4s. The idea behind the wheel set was to create an superior aerodynamic wheel set that would handle better than any current offering on the market. What ENVE came up with was a wheel set that handles predictably as side loads from cross winds increase. This lead ENVE to use two different rim depths since aerodynamic forces and handling stability vary from front to rear. ENVE SMART 6.7s rims also include molded spoke holes allowing our wheel builders to custom tune a set of rims to your needs while maintaining superior strength. As with all ENVE products that Fairwheel Bikes carries the 6.7 rims are made by hand in Ogden Utah.

Tune's Mig and Mag hubs have been a popular hub for our customers for over a decade now. With our confidence in these hubs we've chosen them as a weight saving match for the SES 6.7 rims saving 75g over a Chris King R45 hubset while maintaining the serviceability and the availability of stock bearings throughout.
