Detail
For the development of their 3.4 wheel system, Enve teamed up with aerodynamics expert Simon Smart to help produce the absolute fastest bicycle wheels on the market today. These tubular, full carbon fiber rims were fully optimized in extensive wind tunnel testing for the best aerodynamic response and stability in real world conditions. The resulting front and rear specific deep section rims feature two separate profiles; the front slightly wider and slightly shallower than the rear. The Smart System rims were designed to interface with both the active rider and various modern frame designs. Additionally, Enve heavily focused on wheel stability in varying wind conditions to ensure efficiency and rider safety.
In just a few short years, Enve has emerged as one of the industry's "heavy hitters," and has used the full capability of their engineering and manufacturing prowess to bring the design of their Smart System wheels to life. These 3.4 series rims represent Enve's best all-around wheel option, with shallower cross sections that yield lighter, more stable wheels with very little compromise in aerodynamics. These rims are intended for use in virtually all weather conditions, terrains and disciplines. Using their proprietary molded spoke hole design, Enve ensures maximum strength at the spoke-rim interface while allowing higher spoke tensions that improve wheel reliability. Smart System rims also feature an all new textured sidewall design that improves braking response and thus rider safety. In a departure from their traditional bold decaling, Enve has chosen understated and elegant black decals that vary in appearance depending on light conditions.
Enve Composites is an American company committed to American design, engineering, and manufacturing. Enve Smart System rims are produced with pride in Ogden, Utah, USA.
