ENVE Carbon Stem

Description

This stem was designed as the perfect mate for ENVE's popular road and mountain handlebars. Far from a mere vanity piece, this carbon stem holds its own as an excellent stand alone component with some impressive design features. The stiff, bulky carbon fiber body is equipped with molded-in steel threads and a secure textured handlebar clamp surface. ENVE opted to manufacture the detachable 4-bolt faceplate from forged aluminum for maximum strength and durability. A complete titanium bolt sets completes the package with a touch of elegance and a few bonus grams of weight savings.

Beyond its obvious appeal as a matching cockpit part, the ENVE stem offers what is, really, the best possible performance from an oft overlooked bicycle component. The nature of the carbon material, combined with a purpose-driven design, yields a rock-solid connection between the handlebars and fork steerer. The result? Precise handling in conditions where precise handling is most needed, and maximum power transfer in those rare but critical occasions when a cyclist must use his or her upper body to provide additional acceleration.
