DT's venerable 240s hubs have achieved a near-legendary status with a decade of production and heavy use by many of the industry's top wheel manufacturers, including Enve, Reynolds, and Bontrager. The 240s has defined itself as a mechanics' favorite; an extremely durable and dependable hub, with a lightweight, easily serviceable design.

DT's 240s rear hubs feature their precision star ratchet engagement system, which is both strong, quiet (when properly lubricated), and user-serviceable. This system differs dramatically from the common spring-and-pawl designs, which have many small parts that are susceptible to premature wear or breakage.
