Chris King ISO SD Front Hub Details
The first hub sets that Chris King built were mountain bike hubs. Now, years later they still stand by their design philosophy, to create a hub that will offer a superior ride and last. Made here in the United States Chris King has easily created a name for itself doing just that. The mountain bike hubs are known for lasting even under the worst conditions and this is backed up by a five year warranty. As with all of Chris King's products, these hubs feature immaculate finish work; the hub shells are highly polished prior to anodizing, which yields a deep, vibrant hue to each of the ten color options.
As the name implies Chris King's ISO hub set is computable with the 6 bolt disc ISO standard. The SD (small diameter) version is compatible with standard quick release and 15mm thru axle type forks and saves 33g over the LD (Large Diameter) version that is also compatible with 24mm thru axle forks. Different axle types can be purchased separately and are easily changed with two 5mm allen wrenches. Chris king manufactures their own stainless steel bearings to fit an oversized alloy axle that is 19.5mm in diameter in-order to increase stiffness and durability.
