Chris King ISO Rear Disc Hub Details
The first hub sets that Chris King built were mountain bike hubs. Now, years later they still stand by their design philosophy, to create a hub that will offer a superior ride and endure years of abuse. Made here in the United States Chris King has easily created a name for itself doing just that. The mountain bike hubs are known for lasting even under the worst conditions and this is backed up by a five year warranty. As with all of Chris King's products, these hubs feature immaculate finish work; the hub shells are highly polished prior to anodizing, which yields a deep, vibrant hue to each of the ten color options.
As the name implies Chris King's ISO hub set is computable with the 6 bolt disc ISO standard. With a simple changing of the axle the rear hub is compatible with a variety of different bolt on and quick release axle types, including 135mm quick release or fun bolt axle, 135 x 10mm TA, 135 x 12mm TA, 142 x 12mm TA and 135mm two piece quick release axle. In order to accomplish this Chris King manufactures their own stainless steel bearing to accommodate and oversized 19.5mm axle. Changing the axle is simple and only requires one 3mm and two 5mm allen wrenches. Although we've been happy with the stock setup the drive shell can be converted to a stainless steel version.
