Carbon-Ti's X-Lock skewers function on a simple
closed spherical cam design which prevents the cam from becoming
misaligned or contaminated (problems with traditional open-cam designs).
Both the axles and lever arms are
manufactured from high quality grade 5 titanium. The axles' center
sections are swaged to increase their fatigue life, which additionally
provides some slight weight reduction. The 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum
axle ends are elegantly machined and anodized in gold. Carbon-Ti includes small custom made cap springs to keep the skewer
centered for fast wheel changes.
Suitable for use on road or mountain bikes.
