Detail
The AER headset from Cane Creek is one of the world's lightest headsets. The AER features what Cane Creek calls a "norglide composite bearing" used as the upper bearing, essentially a plastic plate with a low friction interface. The norglide composite is an intriguing approach to save additional weight.

For the traditional version, the headset cup skirts that insert into the headtube are of a hollowed "window" design, shaving additional grams without sacrificing functionality.

These AER headsets are of the standard threadless design, for use with 1 1/8" steerer tubes.

Installation/Assembly
These Cane Creek headsets require specialized headset installation tools. We recommend that these be professionally installed to avoid damage to the headset, frame, or fork.

Note: Cane Creek recommends that the upper Norglide bearing be replaced after 2,000 - 3,000 miles of riding.
