We’ve updated our list of complete group set weights. These weights include everything needed to make a group function, cables, housing, wires, batteries etc… Cables/housing are all the same length as are the chains. The only variation is the cassettes which have traditionally been 11-23, but with Red22 is 11-25.

Complete groups from lightest to heaviest.
    Sram Red22, 2075.5grams
    2012 Sram Red, 2124.5 grams
2012 Campag Super Record, 2163.9 grams
    2013 Campag 80th Anniversary, 2175.4 grams
    Shimano 9070 Di2, 2212 grams
    Shimano 9000, 2244.1 grams
    2012 Campag Record, 2272.70 grams
    Shimano 7900, 2277 grams
    Campag Super Record EPS, 2327.2
    Shimano 7970 10 spd Di2, 2350.6 grams
    Campagnolo Chorus, 2352 grams
    Campagnolo Record EPS, 2422.8 grams
    2012 Sram Force, 2459.7 grams
    Shimano 6770 Ultegra Di2, 2459.7

I have the weights for Sram Force22, but am missing a cassette so I’ll add those shortly. I’ll also soon be getting Ultegra 6800 (11 speed) as well as 11 speed Ultegra Di2 which I’ll add to the list once I have them.

80th Campy is heavier? I thought it was supposed to be lighter?

Jason – what do you think of it in the flesh?

Thanks for the detailed update, Madcow. For Campagnolo: does the crank weight include the bottom bracket? This is sometimes listed separately, but not for Campagnolo.

Great info. Any update on 6800 or 6870?

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to compile these lists. You must have a high tolerance for tedium. ;) In reference to Super Record-is the weight for the “Ti” crank?

    Nothing ventured nothing gained!
