Reply To: Where’d you ride today?

The Vercors is a very underrated area IMO. Large concentration of Michelin map 3 Star roads!

Probably because these aren’t the famous cols from de TdF, but it’s for sure one of the most beautiful cycling places I’ve ever been.

We stayed at a cycling holiday centre in St Jean-en-Royans ( The guy there running the place with his wife, is a former amateur rider and he knows the region very well. I got some GPX files from him and just followed the garmin without exactly knowing all the places that we went through.

These are the routes:

1st photo – ???
2nd photo – pretty village Pont en Royans
3rd photo – Combe Laval? Unfortunately this road was closed for resurfacing when I was there.
4th photo – Gorges de la Bourne?
5th photo – Col de Rousset?

Great photos apexrider! Did you also ride the Gorge du Nan?

You recognize the photo’s almost better then I do!
1st photo – As the 3rd photo also from Col de La Machine at Combe Laval.
2nd photo – correct
3rd photo – Combe Laval. As with most photo’s, in reality it looks much more impressive.
4th photo – Not sure, but should be at Col de La Machine as wel (2nd ride).
5th photo – Col de Rousset (just before the tunnel looking into the direction of Die).

Great photos apexrider! Did you also ride the Gorge du Nan?

Thanks. Not that I know, but it sure looks spectaculair.
